A current guide to A.V.A Global on Steam: whether it is still running, the three classes, modes and maps, currencies and capsules, and practical tips for Demolition and Annihilation.
Researched September 2026 — current as of the September 2026 update (maintenance on 21 September 2026) during the "Operation: Black Market" content cycle that began with the August 2026 update. Live games change; check the linked sources if something differs.
Service status (verified September 2026): A.V.A Global on Steam is live. Publisher Valiant shipped a September update on 21 September 2026, is running GM Blessing events into October 2026, published a September 2026 banned-players list, and has capsule sales scheduled into early October. It is free to play.
Quick Start
- It is a classic tactical FPS relaunched on Steam in August 2022 by Valiant "at the request of many global fans".
- Pick a class: Pointman (SMGs and shotguns, fast), Rifleman (assault rifles, armour, throwables) or Sniper (sniper rifles).
- Modes that matter: Demolition (bomb defusal rounds), Annihilation (team deathmatch to a score), Breach (tank escort) and Escape (listed alongside the PvP modes in event missions).
- Two factions: EU forces plant the bomb or escort the tank; NRF forces defend, defuse or destroy.
- Customise weapons. The attachment system covers dot sights, scopes, barrels, grips, ammo, grenade launchers, silencers and laser pointers.
- Two main currencies: AVA COIN and EURO, used for different items.
- Claim event rewards manually. GM Blessing rewards must be claimed with the reward button, even if you met the conditions.
- Capsules are gacha. Paid capsule machines give random items, cannot be refunded, and allow duplicates. Read the rates before buying.
Classes
Class | Weapons | Role | Tips
Pointman | SMGs, shotguns, unique gear | Fast entry, flanking, reconnaissance | Take close-range routes, hit enemies from behind, avoid long sightlines
Rifleman | Assault rifles, bullet-stopping armour, throwables | Frontline all-rounder | Use armour to win trades; grenades clear corners and plant sites
Sniper | Sniper rifles | Hold angles and lanes, protect teammates | Stay behind your team, reposition after every kill
Each class has unique advantages and disadvantages against the others, and skills that enhance the class's characteristics. New players usually learn fastest as Rifleman.
Modes
Mode | Objective | Key tip
Demolition | NRF must survive and eliminate EU or defuse the bomb; EU must plant and detonate or eliminate NRF | Trade kills as a team; do not peek alone
Annihilation | Two teams race to a target score in a time limit | Play for the score, not stats; avoid feeding
Breach | NRF damages an escorted tank with RPGs; EU escorts it to the goal and repairs it when damaged | EU: protect the repairers; NRF: focus RPG timing
Escape | Counted in event missions alongside Demolition and Annihilation | Useful for event point grinds
Custom Channel rooms let you play specific maps and modes with friends.
Maps (as of the September 2026 update)
- Quick Match rotation: Death Valley V1.0 was replaced by Death Valley V2.0 (Normal Mode) on 21 September 2026.
- Custom Channel Demolition maps added: Showdown, Radar, Staccato, Balcony, SlimFox and StoneTemple Adv.
The Steam listing mentions more than 14 maps overall. Map knowledge wins Demolition rounds: learn two routes to each bomb site and one safe angle to hold from each spawn.
Current Content: Operation: Black Market
The August 2026 update started Operation: Black Market, with an Operation Pass system and Black Market-themed capsules and rewards. The September 2026 update added:
- Quests for titles and name cards: permanent titles "Brave Warriors", "Natural Vitamin" and "Recruit", and name cards "E-BOAT", "C4" and "COLD CASE".
- Skin combination update with new unique skins and an updated list of items that can be combined.
- Shop changes: added a Healing Injector and a Toxic Smoke Bomb; removed the 4th Anniversary Box and 4th Anniversary Medals.
- Capsule Shop jackpot changes, a new lobby background and a currency change for buying the Ma-96.
- Balance note: the TM8 Gallop (an Ultimate-grade weapon in the TM8 series) was discussed in the update notes; check the September notes for the exact change before buying or relying on it.

Capsules running at the time of writing include the ULTRA1 Rage Roar Capsule (a new transformation for the Rock Sugar sniper character) and the ULTRA1 Z3A3 Capsule (the first "Ultimate" weapon from the Black Market Renegade concept), both until 7 October 2026, and the BIG1 Lei Classic Capsule until 30 September 2026. Lei was the game's first female character.
Currencies and Spending
The update notes and events refer to two named currencies, EURO and AVA COIN, alongside paid capsule purchases. Events hand out AVA COIN in large amounts (for example 10,000 per day in some daily challenges), so check the in-game shop to see which items each currency buys before spending.
Spending advice for free players:
- Do events first. GM Blessings hand out AVA COIN, boxes and unique skins for playing modes you already play.
- Spend EURO on attachments for the weapon you actually use rather than many different guns.
- Treat capsules as optional. They cannot be refunded, duplicates are possible, and the probability does not rise with cumulative purchases on most machines. Some offer a bonus draw ticket every 10 purchases and one-time special rewards at purchase-point thresholds.
Gunplay and Positioning
- Crouch or stop to shoot. Tactical shooters reward stopping before firing.
- Burst at range. Tap or short-burst assault rifles past close range.
- Pre-aim common angles at head height.
- Use utility. Riflemen's throwables break holds; the newly added Toxic Smoke Bomb and Healing Injector are shop items worth trying.
- Snipers reposition after each shot. Staying in one window gets you killed.
- Pointmen flank on timing. Wait for your team to make noise, then hit from behind.
Settings
- Lower sensitivity than you think; most tactical-FPS players aim with the arm, not the wrist.
- Prioritise frame rate over visuals.
- Test your crosshair in a custom room.
Your First Week: A Simple Plan
Day | Focus | Why
1 | Play Annihilation as Rifleman | Learn recoil, movement and maps with low pressure
2 | Open the GM Blessing panel and read every active mission | Events are the main free reward source; plan your mode choice around them
3 | Try Demolition in Quick Match | Round-based play teaches positioning and economy of risk
4 | Set up one weapon fully with attachments | Consistency beats variety
5 | Try Pointman and Sniper in a custom room | Learn each class's strengths before using them in real matches
6 | Learn Death Valley V2.0 routes | It is in the Quick Match rotation as of September 2026
7 | Claim all event rewards and review your stats | Unclaimed rewards are lost when events end
Team Play in Demolition
- Call enemy positions by map callouts, not "over there".
- Default, then commit. As EU, spread out to gather information, then commit together to one site.
- Retake together. As NRF, wait for teammates before retaking a planted site.
- Save utility for the plant or retake. Grenades and smoke are most valuable at those moments.
- Mind the clock. Attackers who run out of time lose the round.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Peeking alone in Demolition. Trade kills with a teammate.
- Buying capsules to "catch up." Skill and map knowledge matter far more.
- Not claiming event rewards. Unclaimed rewards are lost.
- Overextending as a Sniper. You are the team's anchor, not its entry.
- Ignoring the tank in Breach. EU loses if nobody repairs it.
Advanced Tips
- Stack event progress. The main blessing counts Escape, Demolition and Annihilation together, so grind in whichever mode you win fastest.
- Learn two sites per Demolition map and one fast rotation between them.
- Customise per role. Silencers for flanking Pointmen, scopes for holding Riflemen.
- Watch the monthly banned-players list in Steam news if you suspect cheaters; the team posts it regularly.
- Read update notes before buying. Balance notes (like the TM8 Gallop decision) tell you whether a weapon is about to change.
FAQ
Is A.V.A still online in 2026? Yes. A.V.A Global on Steam received a September update on 21 September 2026 and is running events into October 2026.
Is it free? Yes, it is free to play with optional purchases.
Which class should I start with? Rifleman. It has armour, throwables and the most forgiving weapons.
Are capsules pay-to-win? They sell character skins and weapon variants, and some capsule weapons (Ultimate-grade guns such as the TM8 Gallop or the new Z3A3) come with their own performance stats, so they are not purely cosmetic. They are random and non-refundable. Skill and map knowledge still matter far more than any single gun; if you buy, read the listed stats and rates first.
What modes can I play? Annihilation, Demolition and Breach, plus Escape (used in event missions) and Custom Channel rooms.
How do I claim event rewards? Click the sparkling buff-shaped icon on the right side of the lobby, then press the reward button for each completed mission.
