A roadmap for Leaf Blower Revolution, Humble North's free idle game: how leaves, tools, autoblowers, and areas work, when to prestige, what the reset layers (BLC, MLC, ULC) keep, and which systems to prioritize as the game opens up.

Researched September 2026 — current as of v2.29.7 (April 8, 2026), following v2.29.0 "The Industrial Harbor & Anniversary Update" (December 2025). Idle games get frequent patches; check the linked sources if something differs.

Quick Start

  • Blow leaves, buy upgrades, repeat. Leaves are the currency of each area. Spend them in that tier's leaf shop to boost income.
  • Buy Autoblowers (ALBs) early. They collect leaves while you're idle, and the game is built around offline and idle progress.
  • Your first Prestige comes once you'd earn about 20+ coins. The wiki recommends 20 or more Prestige Coins at the first reset. Prestige Coins and their shop upgrades are permanent.
  • Prestige Coins unlock new areas. Mountain costs 10 Prestige Coins, Space 500, and THE VOID 2,500. Each new area adds a new leaf tier and materials.
  • Collect materials. Each area drops two materials (for example, Mushroom and Wood in the Home Garden) that feed crafting later.
  • Buy automation with coins first. Auto-buyers make every future run faster and cost you nothing to use.
  • Do your daily quests. Since v2.29.4, daily quests pay out more Gems through daily bounty rewards, and there's a Gems shop upgrade to auto-finish them.
  • Don't rush. Progress in idle games is exponential. Waiting for a bigger reset often beats resetting early and often.

Core Loop

Step | What happens

Blow | Move your cursor or blower to collect leaves

Spend | Buy leaf shop upgrades and tools for the current leaf tiers

Automate | Autoblowers and auto-buyers take over

Unlock | New areas and systems (printers, converters, pets, crafting)

Reset | Prestige (and later BLC, MLC, ULC) for permanent multipliers

Leaf tiers

Leaves progress through tiers such as Basic, Gold, Platinum, Bismuth, Cosmic, Void, Exotic, Celestial, Mythical, and beyond. Each has its own shop, and higher tiers show up in higher areas.

Special leaves: Ancient Leaves, Gem Leaves, and Unique Leaves grant special bonuses and survive resets. Gem Leaves are a Gem source.

Areas (Leaf Galaxy)

Area | Unlock | Leaves | Materials

Home Garden | Free | Basic, Gold | Mushroom, Wood

Neighbors' Garden | Free | Up to Platinum | Feather, Rose

Mountain | 10 Prestige Coins | Up to Bismuth | Leather, Bat Wing

Space | 500 Prestige Coins | Up to Cosmic | Dark Matter, Meteor Rock

THE VOID | 2,500 Prestige Coins | Adds Void | Soul, Goo

The Abyss | 25k Strange Flasks | Basic, Exotic | Bone, Eyeball

The Celestial Plane | 1m BLC | Basic, Celestial | Cloud, Butterfly

The Mythical Garden | 50m BLC | Exotic, Mythical | Spider Web, Mysterious Plant

The Volcano | 500m BLC | Lava Leaves | The area damages you over time

Some areas (Cursed Pyramid, Hidden Sea, Infernal Desert) are opened by artifacts or achievements rather than currency.

Beyond the Leaf Galaxy are further galaxies: Fire Fields, Soul Realm, Quark Ambit, Umbral Cluster, and the Energy Belt (EB). There are also special areas such as The Leaf Tower, Cursed Pyramid, Soul Crypt, Leafton Pit, the Cheese Pub, and your House.

Prestige and the Reset Layers

Prestige (first layer)

Lost:

  • Leaves and flasks
  • Leaf shop purchases (Basic through Exotic)
  • Tools, unless you protect them with the "It's mine!" gem upgrade

Kept:

  • Prestige Coins and their purchases (including the Printers Shop)
  • Higher-layer coins and shops (BLC, MLC, ULC)
  • Leaf upgrades from Celestial onward
  • Ancient, Gem, and Unique Leaves
  • Gems, Artifacts, and Pets
  • Crafted items, equipment, and materials
  • Discovered areas and challenges

Coin shop priorities:

  • Auto-buyers. Automation saves you the most time.
  • Leaf reward multipliers (+100% per leaf type).
  • Prestige++, worth 25% more coins per level.
  • Upgrade discounts (up to 50%).
  • Printer and Converter bonuses once those systems are online.

Higher layers

Layer | Name | Notes

BLC | Big Leaf Crunch | The first major reset. BLC coins buy stronger permanent bonuses and unlock Celestial and Mythical areas.

MLC | Mega Leaf Crunch | A deeper reset with its own shop

ULC | Ultra Leaf Crunch | Late-game reset with big multipliers, such as "Lord of Prestige" (+1e3% coins)

Galaxies | Highest tier | Endgame leaves and systems

When to reset (any layer): reset when your coin gain has clearly slowed, meaning another few minutes of play barely raises the reset reward. Resetting at 2x your previous reward is a common rule of thumb in idle games.

Systems You'll Unlock

System | What it does

Autoblowers (ALBs) | Idle leaf collection

Printers and Converters | Produce and convert leaf resources automatically

Farming (Fruit, Seeds) | Fruit grants bonuses that speed up progress

Trading | Exchange resources for rewards

Pets | Passive bonuses. The store page lists 32+ pets.

Crafting | Craft equipment and crafted leaves from materials and shards

Alchemy | Flask-related progression (Strange Flasks unlock The Abyss)

Borbventures | Send Borbs on expeditions for rewards

Fishing, Mining | Side resource systems

Banks | A later mechanism with its own progression. Check the wiki's Banks page when it unlocks.

The Cheese Pub | Minigames, including Slots, the Claw Machine, and event games

Dice | Items and converters that feed prestige bonuses

Journeys | Longer goals with item rewards

Challenges | Restricted runs with permanent rewards

Late game | Soul Forge, Quark Reactor, Shadow Crystal, Shadow Tree

The Industrial Harbor (v2.29, December 2025)

  • A new area, The Industrial Harbor, unlocked in the Plasma shop in the early Energy Belt (EB+).
  • Push Water Leaves into containers, complete harbor jobs, and send ships out to gather items.
  • It added two new resources, Water Leaf and Water Crystal, plus a Water Crystal booster.
  • Follow-up patches:
  • v2.29.1 set the base ship travel time to 2 minutes and added auto claim and auto refresh for harbor jobs.
  • v2.29.4 made the Harbor work offline and added a new challenge, Harbor Hustle.
  • Why it matters: the developer describes the Harbor as a way for early EB players to progress faster, and for late-game players to collect useful items through its inventory and a new journey.

Recent Quality-of-Life Changes (v2.29.x)

  • Locking items: middle-click locks crafted leaves and inventory items. Since v2.29.6 this also works for Dice and Harbor items.
  • Salvage hotkeys: CTRL+Salvage works on dice, fish, harbor, and mines, and CTRL+Shift skips the confirmation (v2.29.1).
  • Autosave: the default autosave interval changed from 30 seconds to 5 minutes (v2.29.4). If you play on an unstable PC, set it back lower in options.
  • Gems shop automation:
  • Auto finish and auto claim journeys (v2.29.2, requires one manually finished journey).
  • Auto-finish daily quests (v2.29.4).
  • Auto Event Artifacts (v2.29.0).
  • Leafscender Safe Mode keeps one input leaf in reserve. It's unlocked in the Coal shop (v2.29.7).
  • Shadow Crystal "Safe advance" steps back a level automatically if you can't beat the current one (v2.29.0).
  • Keep Borb Levels upgrade in the Shadow Tree (v2.29.0).

Events

  • Anniversary (December 1–31): a minigame called Blow Out The Candles in the Cheese Pub, the Birthday Cake event artifact, Party Tokens, and a new journey.
  • Halloween: includes the restricted Cursed Halloween area. Since v2.29.7, Vital Violins can be used there.
  • Event artifacts can be used in areas that normally restrict artifacts (v2.29.1). With the Auto Event Artifacts upgrade, they're used automatically when an event ends.

Gem Spending Priorities

Gems are the premium-style currency, and you earn them free through Gem Leaves and daily quests.

  • Automation upgrades in the Gems shop: auto journeys, auto daily quests, auto event artifacts.
  • "It's mine!", which keeps tools through Prestige. It saves a lot of rebuying.
  • Quality-of-life unlocks that remove clicking from systems you use every run.
  • Save the rest for later systems instead of spending on small multipliers.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Prestiging too early for tiny coin gains. Wait for a meaningful jump.
  • Ignoring automation in the coin and gem shops. Every manual click you remove speeds up all future runs.
  • Forgetting materials. Crafting later needs materials from early areas.
  • Not locking crafted leaves or items before a mass salvage. Use middle-click lock.
  • Skipping daily quests. They're a steady Gem source.
  • Leaving the Harbor idle once you reach EB. It works offline now.
  • Using a long autosave interval on a crash-prone PC. v2.29.4 changed the default to 5 minutes. Lower it if you need to.

Advanced Tips

  • Push, then idle. Actively blow during the fast early part of each run, then let the ALBs, printers, and converters carry you overnight.
  • Reset layers compound. A BLC reset that looks small can pay off hugely once its shop upgrades multiply your Prestige coin gain.
  • Challenges give permanent rewards. Do them once your normal runs are fast.
  • Pets: match active pets to what you're currently doing (leaf gain versus specific systems) instead of leaving the same ones equipped forever.
  • Cloud saves: v2.29.6 now saves game options before loading a cloud save, so switching devices is safer. The game is also on mobile.
  • Read the patch notes. The developer ships small balance and QoL patches often, and new automation options show up in the Gems and Coal shops.
