A practical guide to Team Jade's free-to-play tactical shooter: how Operations (extraction) and Warfare (large-scale PvP) work, operator classes, economy, and what's new in the second-anniversary season.

Researched September 2026 — current as of Season Reorientation (the 2nd-anniversary season, launched September 8, 2026). Live games change; check the linked sources if something differs.

Quick Start

  • Delta Force is three games in one: Operations (Hazard Operations, an extraction shooter), Warfare (large-scale Battlefield-style PvP) and a Black Hawk Down-inspired campaign.
  • Warfare is the low-risk place to learn guns and operators. Nothing is lost when you die.
  • In Operations, anything you bring in can be lost. Only your Safe Box contents are protected. Start with cheap kits.
  • Tekniq Alloy is your Operations money. It persists across seasons; season wipes don't reset your stash, gear or Alloy.
  • Extract, even with little loot. A small successful run beats a big failed one.
  • Pick an operator class for your squad's needs: Assault, Support, Engineer or Recon.
  • New this season: Rover (Support) and his dog Clover, The Mog Warfare map, Layali Grove 2.0, Fishing, MDR and Thompson.
  • Don't sit on Delta Tickets. Time-limited Delta Tickets expire at season end; spend them.

Modes

Mode | What it is | Who it's for

Operations | PvPvE extraction: enter with a loadout, loot, fight AI and players, extract | Players who like risk/reward and economy

Warfare | Large-scale attack/defend and conquest battles with vehicles | Players who want pure combat without gear loss

Campaign | Black Hawk Down-inspired co-op/solo story | Story and co-op players

Operator Classes

Class | Role | Example operators

Assault | Fast, aggressive entry | D-Wolf

Support | Heal, revive, smoke | Stinger, Rover (new)

Engineer | Anti-vehicle, fortification, area denial | Uluru, Shepherd

Recon | Scouting and intel | Luna, Hackclaw

The roster is much bigger than this (Nox, Sineva, Raptor and more); the operator select screen shows every operator's class.

New operator: Rover (Support)

Rowan "Rover" Walsh and his military working dog Clover.

  • Dart Rifle: fires an aerosol that cures allies of status effects and reduces enemies' maximum health.
  • Irritant grenade: gas that obscures and disrupts.
  • Clover: passively tracks and marks enemies and can attack.
  • Mode passive: in Operations, enemies he downs stay incapacitated longer; in Warfare, allies he revives get their ammo replenished.
  • Rover is a free Season Pass unlock gained through skill-trial missions, not a purchase.

Operations (Extraction) Guide

The loop

  • Build a loadout from your stash (weapon, armor, helmet, rig, backpack, meds, ammo).
  • Pick a map and difficulty.
  • Loot containers, kill AI and bosses, avoid or fight other squads.
  • Reach an extraction point and leave.
  • Sell loot for Tekniq Alloy or keep gear to build better kits.

Maps

Operations maps include Zero Dam, Layali Grove, Space City and Brakkesh, with multiple difficulty tiers. Map availability rotates; check the lobby.

Season Reorientation changes:

  • Layali Grove 2.0: three new zones, a reworked waterway, new water vehicles and new routes/quests.
  • Space City now randomizes the switch locations for the Black Chamber and Buoyancy Lab extracts, and adds a one-way Central Garden elevator route; don't assume the old switch spot.
  • AZ3 - Normal is now permanently available.
  • Fishing unlocks at Operations Level 17 (solo or co-op, customizable rods).
  • Polaris Patrol returns: a "play-as-a-boss" mode as Security Director Desmoulins.
  • Hudson's Surge Squad boss encounter was nerfed: it can no longer lock onto targets through walls and now has vulnerable windows while reloading, turning and between bursts.

Gear and risk

  • Armor and helmet tiers matter far more than weapon choice in Operations. Match your ammo to the armor you expect to face; higher-tier ammo penetrates better.
  • Safe Box: a protected container that keeps its contents on death. Put your most valuable small items there. Upgraded Safe Box access from cards and trials expires at season end.
  • Cheap kits early: run low-value loadouts until you know the maps and extracts.
  • Meds and repair: carry healing and armor repair; an unrepaired vest is a dead vest.

Economy tips

  • Sell what you don't use. Stash space fills fast; value is only useful when spent on kits.
  • Buy ammo in bulk for the guns you run most.
  • Track quest items before selling; some missions ask for specific items.
  • Don't bring gear worth more than you can afford to lose on a given run.

Operations tactics

  • Listen first. Sound tells you where other squads are; move when they're shooting.
  • Avoid obvious hot zones on your first runs; learn quieter routes and extracts.
  • Clear AI methodically; bosses hit hard and often have guards.
  • Don't loot in the open after a fight; move bodies' loot to cover or check angles first.
  • Extract before you're overloaded or low on meds.

Warfare Guide

Basics

  • Large-scale objective battles with infantry, vehicles and air support.
  • Pick a class for what your team is missing: Support for revives and smoke, Engineer for vehicles, Recon for intel, Assault for pushing objectives.
  • Weapon levels unlock attachments; Warfare is the fastest way to level guns.

The Mog (new map)

  • A Black Hawk Down-inspired urban map focused on close-quarters street fighting.
  • Launch-week fixes repositioned deployment points in Sectors B and C, made C2 a secondary objective, and made the Escort the Convoy phase more attacker-friendly (less explosive damage, adjusted timers).
  • Bring SMGs, shotguns or short-range ARs; long sightlines are rare.

Warfare tips

  • Play the objective and revive teammates. Points and tickets decide matches.
  • Engineers: your job is to kill vehicles. Carry launchers and stick with your squad.
  • Use smoke to cross streets and cover revives.
  • Spawn on squadmates close to objectives instead of the main base.

New Weapons

Weapon | Type | How to unlock

MDR | Assault rifle | Extract with it in Operations, then complete kill missions

Thompson | SMG | Same path as the MDR

A launch bug hid them from the Warfare Armory; the September 9 patch fixed it.

Currencies and Battle Pass

Currency | Use | Notes

Tekniq Alloy | Operations economy (buying gear, trading) | Persists across seasons

Delta Coins | Premium currency | Purchased with real money

Delta Tickets (time-limited) | Seasonal rewards and store items | Expire at season end; up to 3,900 earnable in Season Reorientation

  • The Hackclaw Netrunner Battle Pass runs from September 8 to November 9.
  • The 2nd Anniversary Celebration runs September 8 to November 9, with more anniversary events added from September 26. The Wyvern Appearance Lucky Draw runs September 11 to October 10.
  • What resets each season: season mission-line progress, and previous Ultimate Safe Box access and trial cards expire. What doesn't: account level, stash, gear and Tekniq Alloy.

Settings Worth Changing

Setting | Recommendation

Field of view | High for awareness

Motion blur | Off

Audio | Headphone mode; boost footsteps if available

Graphics | Lower shadows/effects for FPS; keep textures reasonable

Upscaling | DLSS/FSR as needed (The Mog has a PC visual upgrade and console FSR)

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Taking your best gear into Operations before you know the map.
  • Ignoring armor/ammo tiers. Low-tier ammo into high-tier armor loses fights.
  • Not using the Safe Box.
  • Letting Delta Tickets expire.
  • Staying too long in a raid after the loot is good. Extract.
  • Playing Warfare solo like a deathmatch. Objectives win.
  • Assuming extracts are fixed. Space City uses randomized switch extracts now.

Advanced Tips

  • Level new guns in Warfare to learn their recoil and unlock attachments with no gear risk, then take them into Operations.
  • Squad composition in Operations: one Support (Stinger, Rover), one Recon (Luna/Hackclaw), one flexible Assault/Engineer.
  • Hudson's Surge Squad: punish the boss during reloads, turns and gaps between bursts rather than trading shots head-on.
  • Rover and Clover are strong for aggressive squads: Clover reveals enemies, the Dart Rifle removes enemy max health and cleanses teammates.
  • Plan extracts before you drop. Know two exits per map.
  • Sell high-value loot during demand spikes if the market UI shows price trends.
  • Use Polaris Patrol to learn how bosses fight and where they patrol.
