Kairos bought the entire Aniimo shop so you don't have to. Here's every pass, pack and top-up ranked by value, the Premium Custom Pack trap, the best uses for Glimmer, Voxel Coins and credits, and what to buy on $0, $5, $10, $15 or $25 a month.

The short answer

If you spend only $10 a month, buy the Companion Handbook. If you have any Lumen, buy the $0.83 Weekly Value Supplies pack every week. If you're F2P, spend 50 Glimmer a day on one Primegy refresh and nothing else. Everything below comes from Kairos, who spent about $200 testing the whole shop. Watch

Companion Handbook: a Perfect Prismana Fulmintis egg, 2 Sparkling Cubes, a Phenomena Crystal, 14 Starcryst and more.

Weekly Value Supplies: 60 Lumen for 120 Glimmer, plus Vein Essence and Voxel Coins.

Every tier doubles the first time you buy it. The $30 tier is the best value, and $1 and $5 are poor.

One Primegy refresh a day (60 Primegy). The second already costs 100.

Picking Starcryst Essence in the Premium Custom Pack. A daily refresh gets you one for about 66 Glimmer.

Don't buy Ultras, Morph Orbs or salon, redesign and name cards with Glimmer.

Kairos worked out the dollar prices from the Lumen top-up rates (60 Lumen ≈ $0.83, 588 Lumen ≈ $8.17), so they may differ a little in your region or store. The tier badges below rank his recommendations by value. The tiers are ours, and the ranking order is his.

Passes: Companion Handbook vs Monthly Pass

Companion Handbook

The best purchase in the shop. The headline is an early-access Prismana Fulmintis egg with Perfect potential, "usually one of the strongest Aniimo in the game". It becomes catchable normally once new regions arrive. Kairos values each of the 2 Sparkling Cubes at about $20.83, so they're worth more than the pass on their own. 8:08

Monthly Pass

The biggest value is 3,000 Glimmer (100 a day), which covers 30 days of the daily Primegy refresh. The rest is convenience. 5:15

Pass tier | Price | Value | Verdict

Companion Handbook | $10 | SS | Buy it if you spend anything at all. With only $10 a month, buy this before the Monthly Pass.

Monthly Pass | $5 | S | Great Glimmer per dollar. Two passes in place of the Handbook is "arguable".

Keepsakes (upgraded) Handbook | $20 | B | "Not super worth it." For the extra $10 you get +1 Sparkling Cube, a limited Phantom Knight doll and avatar frame, 5 Primegy Battery resets, 200 Glimmer, +10 storage instead of +5, and +10 Handbook levels. 10:26

Every pack ranked by value

Packs are much better value than buying items one at a time. Kairos ranks them in this order for progression. "From this point on, the value is significantly lower, but it's still better than buying things that are not in packs." 13:55

Progression packs

# | Pack | Price | What you get | Tier

1 | Weekly Value Supplies | $0.83 (60 Lumen), weekly | 120 Glimmer, a little Vein Essence and some Voxel Coins. "The best every week, genuinely." | SS

2 | Departure Gift | $3.89 (280 Lumen), once a season | Less Glimmer per Lumen than the weekly pack, but slightly more Vein Essence and Voxel Coins. | S

3 | Premium Custom Pack | ~$8.17 (588 Lumen) | A "super cheap Sparkling Cube" plus picks you choose. Pick carefully, see the next section. | A

4 | Champion's Gift | $13.06 | Enough Marks of the Strong for one held-item contract, 1 Capa Fruit and 10 Psyche Fruits. | A

5 | "Weekly" Nurturing Pack | $27.50, twice a season | A Phenomena Crystal, a Mark of the Strong and a Prismana Orb, which is why it costs so much. Only for a maxed Alpha Prismana project. | C

Collection packs

Pack | Price | What you get | Tier

Adventure Pack | $23.33 | 3 Sparkling Cubes, close to the ~$21 price of a single Cube elsewhere, plus Ultras and Voxel Coins. | A

Weekly Nurturing Delivery | $9.44 | Vein Essence worth about 45% of a Prismana (two for about 90%). Better than the Vein Essence pick in the Custom Pack. | B

Weekly Sparkling | $5.28 | Randomly changes one Aniimo's sparkle color and gives a few Sparkling Crystals. Mostly cosmetic. | C

Season Keepsakes | $41.39 | Limited items such as the "Wind Chasers" profile item, which likely won't return. Skip unless you want those. | C

Fashion packs

Pack | Price | What you get | Tier

Butterfly Dream First Encounter | $0.83 | 5 Lightweave Tickets. A better deal than the Invitation. | A

First Encounter packs (×10) | $2.50 each | Good cosmetic value. The 180 Lumen converts about 1:1 into Glimmer. | A

Butterfly Dream Invitation | $3.89 | 10 Lightweave Tickets and 300 Voxel Coins. | B

Kairos found the Lightweave gacha underwhelming (fragments plus a few cosmetics). He liked the Irisalis transmog much more. It uses Radiant Dream Shadows and Glimmering Drift Shadows, and its tiers unlock extras like wings. He calls it "a much more fun gacha than the other." 22:45

The Premium Custom Pack trap

This pack (588 Lumen, about $8.17) is mainly a cheap Sparkling Cube, but the picks you choose decide whether it's a good deal. Some bad picks look tempting, Starcryst Essence most of all. 14:53

✅ Pick these

10 Capa Seeds: 20 seeds buy a Capa Fruit, which normally costs 1,000 Glimmer, so you get a large discount on Capa. Kairos takes them because "you're going to want a ton of DPS" and Capa belongs on DPS. 600 Glimmer is the flexible alternative.

❌ Avoid these

Tumblers and credits: bad value. Vein Essence: meh, since the Weekly Nurturing Delivery is a better source. Starcryst Essence: a trap.

Starcryst Essence feels like the obvious bottleneck to buy, but the Glimmer you'd save is worth more. One Primegy refresh a day, spent on farming, works out to about 1 Starcryst Essence per ~66 Glimmer on average. "So, don't buy the Starcryst Essence."

Kairos only suggests buying more Cubes this way once you've already maxed your other Sparkling Cube sources each week and have plenty of Glimmer.

Top-ups: which Lumen tier to buy

Each top-up tier doubles the first time you buy it. If you're spending beyond packs, buy each tier once.

The best value of the top-ups. 13:14

Poor value. Buy a pack in the same price range instead.

Ultras cost 200 Lumen each and a Sparkling Cube costs 1,500. Kairos calls it "prohibitively expensive". Packs give you the same items far more cheaply. 6:22

In-game currency shops

These are free currencies, so they matter for every player. Here is the right order for each.

Currency | Buy first | Then | Skip

Glimmer | SS 1 Primegy refresh a day (50 → 60 Primegy) | Collectors: 1,500 a week on Sparkling Crystals, one Cube's worth. Fashion: Glimmering Drift Shadow, Lightweave Tickets. Capa Fruit (1,000) only for a many-stat DPS. | Ultras (200), Morph Orbs, salon, redesign and name cards

Voxel Coins | S Coil Strike Club: limited training items | Coil Strike Strength Tester (free weekly, plus 1 coupon by mail per 1,000 Voxel spent; stronger Aniimo win more Ultra Vouchers). Star Wish Coins (100 Voxel) open capsules with Sparkling Crystals. Lumen accessory exchange. Corner Shop cosmetics. | Nothing

Credits | S Outpost Vendor weekly discounted Basic, Pro and Mega pods. Super Claw Tumblers at half price. | Star Stones (100,000) to craft Starcryst Essence. Fire Shards and other offerings in Credit Shop → Nurture. 20 Ultra Vouchers trade for 1 Ultra. | Spending every credit. You'll need them for awakening refunds (200,000) and pods.

Sparkling Crystals | S 1,000 trade for 1 Sparkling Cube at the Mysterious Vendor (Weston) | Sources: Glimmer, Holo-Battle Interlink, Super Lucky Strikes, Star Wish capsules | Nothing

Handbook Stamps | SS 10 Vein Essence in the weekly shop, every week | Dewdrop Crystals, Flux Crystals, Stardust, limited items. Then the season shop: buy everything, including the Prismana Orb, Starcryst and the Cube. | Credits, until the season ends

The Coil Strike Club is "the first place to spend Voxel Coins if you don't care about cosmetics". 3:24

F2P and budget plans

Free to play: the whole plan

  • 50 Glimmer a day on one Primegy refresh, and no more. Kairos's math puts it ahead of Capa Fruit for progression when you build from Perfects. 0:48
  • Hold off on Psyche Fruit. Build many Aniimo to about 95% first, then perfect personalities on your main party.
  • Voxel Coins go to the Coil Strike Club first, then the Strength Tester and Star Wish Coins.
  • Clear the Handbook shops every week. A player who plays enough can buy everything in the season shop, including a Sparkling Cube. Kairos believes F2P players can finish the Handbook by playing a lot. 8:15
  • Collectors: switch the Glimmer budget to 1,500 a week on Sparkling Crystals for one Cube a week. Don't do both, because Glimmer runs out.

What to buy on a budget

Monthly budget | Buy

$5 | Monthly Pass. Spend its 300 Lumen on Weekly Value Supplies (5 weeks' worth).

$10 | Companion Handbook. Kairos's pick for a $10 budget, ahead of two Monthly Passes.

$15 | Companion Handbook + Monthly Pass

$25 | Keepsakes Handbook + Monthly Pass, if you want the extra Cube and collector items

More | Weekly Value Supplies every week, the Departure Gift, the Premium Custom Pack (Capa Seeds or Glimmer, never Starcryst) and the Champion's Gift, then each top-up tier once for the 2× bonus

No. Kairos's F2P advice is to never miss a day of Primegy, and that's how F2P players keep up with spenders. Spending mostly saves time and buys Sparkling looks, which add no stats. Watch
