The top five meta teams with step-by-step rotations, compact comps for the other four elements, F2P swaps, which enemies each one counters, and how to build a roster for Holo-Battle Sim. Where Game8 and GameWith disagree, you'll see both.

How a meta team works, and the universal cores

Every top team runs the same loop: supports buff, the breaker breaks, the DPS swaps in for the break window, the Regen unit refills EP, then repeat. A few units do their job on any element, so they show up everywhere.

Turbo + Prismana Glacy

Turbo: +15% damage and +15% break efficiency for 20s, +30% with Shrouded in Mist, and everyone gets an Alpha Turbo in the tutorial. Glacy's Glimmer Shot: +15% team damage for 20s, for 10 EP, plus heals.

Somniwing or Besauce

Game8 defaults to Somniwing; GameWith defaults to Besauce, whose Charged Geyser refills EP almost to full. Both are S in Game8. Build them for Regen only.

Rookey

Its Break scales with P.DEF, so it cracks shields regardless of element. Game8 slots it into Light and Dark; it fits any team without a native breaker.

Get the shield nearly down, swap to Somniwing to fill EP, then pop it with an element-advantaged breaker. Ult first, spam skills, then cast Somniwing's ultimate (it pauses time) and ult again. Cast Turbo and Glacy inside the window. On PC, Alt + number swaps and casts in one press. 1:40

When a support shares your DPS's element, it beats the universal pair: Leafy for Irisalis, and for Fulmintis "you'd 100% want Dazmand." 5:41

#1 Light: Lunara or Helion

Lunara / Helion Light Team

Your starter carries its own EP, buffs, debuffs and even Break, so it leans on teammates less than any other DPS. Its trait adds +30% damage against elements Light doesn't counter (Kairos's figure; Game8's trait text says +20%), which makes this the best catch-all team.

Rotation (Lunara)

  • Somniwing: Ethereal Light Wave, then swap to your support. With Turbo, land 4 basic attacks, then Nimbi Burst and Cloud Shield. With Glacy, fire Glimmer Shot.
  • Rookey: Bouncy Sling, then Guardbreak Slam until the shield breaks. If a Glacy or Somniwing buff expires, swap in and recast it.
  • On break, Lunara: Lumin Bolts, then Selene's Judgment (the ultimate transforms her into Fennelun).
  • 4 basic attacks, then Moon Impact before the enemy recovers. Each skill grants 4 Silver Moon Marks, so the next 4 basics deal double damage. Repeat from step 1.

Buff first, then two basics, dodge-cancel, two basics to trigger Solar Halo. Holy Roar gives 3 stacks of Light Damage Amplification (+18%). Refresh Solar Halo with another two-hit pair (+30% to Light Bombardment), then cast Light Bombardment. Save Helios' Judgment for just before or just after the break.

#2 Dark: Stellarys

Stellarys Dark Team

Dark has the most offensive advantages (Lightning, Grass and Light) and the most Dark buffs to stack. Stellarys's clone copies its basics and skills, so it cashes in every buff twice.

Rotation

  • Buff up: Fragrancier's Secret Fragrance Mark, then Hexxin's Black Hole Domain and Euphoric Sonic Blast.
  • Rookey: alternate Bouncy Sling or Guardbreak Slam with basic attacks until the shield breaks.
  • On break, recast Secret Fragrance Mark, then Hexxin's Black Hole Domain into Euphoric Sonic Blast. That should trigger Hexxin's Prank trait and Curse the enemy.
  • Stellarys: Shadow Magic, then Shooting Stars to start the damage stacks. Alternate basics and Shooting Stars until the window closes.

#3 Lightning: Fulmintis

Fulmintis Lightning Team

Huge burst, but picky: Lightning Blade Storm needs nearly full EP and a stationary target. Blazen breaks and immobilizes, Luminelle stacks Lightning buffs, Besauce refuels.

Rotation

  • Enter with a full Ultimate bar, on Luminelle: cast Lightning Surge.
  • Blazen: ultimate, then Electrified Impact repeatedly until the enemy breaks.
  • Check EP. You need more than 45 (four and a half orbs). If you're short, Besauce's Charged Geyser.
  • Fulmintis: Enhanced Lightning Blade, then Lightning Blade Storm into its heavy slash.
  • Back to Blazen for the next break if the enemy is still standing.

#4 Grass: Irisalis

Irisalis Grass Team

Leafy's Lotus Bloom and Turbo's Nimbi Burst amplify Irisalis's clone damage. The drawbacks keep it at #4: no dedicated breaker, huge EP demand, and Grass only counters Earth and Water.

Rotation

  • Leafy: Lotus Bloom. Turbo: Nimbi Burst.
  • Irisalis: Irisalis Shadow, then Whirling Blossom Rain. Every Whirling Blossom Rain and every final basic-attack hit makes all clones fire Floral Gleam Beams, so keep cycling both.
  • EP critically low? Somniwing: Butterfly Dance, then Ethereal Light Wave for more.
  • Refresh buffs and swap back.

#5 Fire: Scorchhowl

Scorchhowl Fire Team

One fully charged Burn Breaker does the work, boosted by Scorchhowl's trait (+25% damage to countered targets). Inferlupa raises the Break damage enemies take, Sparkelf buffs and heals.

Rotation

  • Buff: Sparkelf's Inspiration and Somniwing's Ethereal Light Wave.
  • Inferlupa: Unbroken Flameruff Spirit for Break efficiency, then Hunting Pack and other skills to break.
  • On break, reapply both buffs, plus Sparkelf's Keep the Fire Bolt Going! if it's up.
  • Scorchhowl: with full EP, charge Burn Breaker and release at full charge. If the enemy swings, Fire Kick to dodge and counter.
  • Swap to Regen for EP and repeat.

Ice, Water, Wind and Earth teams

These four aren't in Game8's top five, but you need them for counter coverage. Beyond the battery slot, Game8 and GameWith disagree on three of the four.

Rotation: Geoclaw breaks and stacks Ice Debuff (Icy Gravel Dance keeps 5+ stacks for Glynsera's +15% crit trait), Glimmer Shot, refill EP, then Glynsera's ultimate and Frost Tail Strike. Don't let Frost Tail Strike drop the stacks below 5. GameWith swaps Besauce in and calls this the safest comp of all.

Rotation: Panpanta breaks and lays puddles, Glimmer Shot, Erlath turns water skills into EP, then Sherro casts Torrent Slam first and fights from a puddle. GameWith runs Piopiota (puddles) and Prismana Panpanta instead of Glacy. Your answer to Fire bosses such as Omega Infergon.

Rotation: open on Chirpi (March), Tromber (Waltz, Spiral Blade, Zephyr's Breath), Tubster (Gale Guard, break), then Cornet holds Scream Splitter and fights in flight. Collecting all three movement buffs is the point. Contracted Tromber? Eklue replaces Chirpi. GameWith: Cornet, Tromber, Eklue, Helgon (Tubster if you can't time Helgon's counter).

Rotation: Bailite's Cozite Nest Sentry, then Devastation Cannon for the Earth Resistance debuff. Grizbo: Rock Smash to Enrage, Fanatic Clawing to 6 Claw Marks, then Critical Hit to cash them in. GameWith's Earth team is completely different: Waleetle, Bouldus, Mudflat Budclaw, Besauce (break Bouldus's Rock Piles with Waleetle).

Counters and Holo-Battle Sim: one DPS per element

Element advantage is ×1.6 on both break and DPS damage, and a disadvantage cuts your damage by 37.5%. Holo-Battle Sim and Interlink rotate elements, so a single great team isn't enough. 3:59

Enemy element | Bring (×1.6) | Team to use

Fire | Water, Earth | Water (Sherro) or Earth (Grizbo / Waleetle)

Water | Grass, Ice, Lightning | Lightning (Fulmintis), Grass (Irisalis) or Ice (Glynsera)

Grass | Fire, Wind, Dark | Fire (Scorchhowl) or Dark (Stellarys)

Ice | Fire, Earth | Fire (Scorchhowl)

Lightning | Ice, Dark | Dark (Stellarys)

Wind | Lightning, Light | Light (Lunara / Helion) or Lightning

Earth | Water, Grass | Grass (Irisalis) or Water

Dark | Wind, Light | Light (Lunara / Helion)

Light | Dark | Dark (Stellarys)

Building a Holo-Battle Sim roster

  • Keep the universal core shared: Turbo, Prismana Glacy, Somniwing or Besauce, and Rookey work on every team, so you only need new DPS (and ideally a matching breaker) per element.
  • Start with four DPS elements. GameWith notes that Grass, Earth, Dark and Light between them hit every element's weakness, which keeps leveling costs down.
  • Fill out the rest over time. Kairos's examples for the Grass, Water and Fire sims: a Fire DPS, a Lightning DPS and a Water DPS, each with Glacy's buff on top. 1:52
  • Run Challenge difficulty directly. It pays every tier's rewards, you can pause partway, and you can restart to reroll the starting buff. 15:40

Lunara and Helion's +30% against non-countered elements makes them great early, but it's half of a real +60% advantage. Build a DPS of every element in the long run. 4:50

Where the sources disagree

Team | Game8 (Oct 12) | GameWith (Oct 14)

EP battery | Somniwing almost everywhere | Besauce almost everywhere

Light | Rookey as breaker, Somniwing | No breaker: Glacy + Rainstorm Turbo + Besauce

Dark | Fragrancier support | Prismana Turbo support

Lightning | Blazen breaks | Dazmand buffs (event over Oct 8)

Grass | Irisalis + Leafy | Prismana Thornblade + Melloblum. GameWith ranks Thornblade SS; Game8 ranks it B, the biggest gap between the two lists.

Fire | Scorchhowl + Inferlupa + Sparkelf | Prismana Scorchhowl + Magmarex + Rainstorm Turbo

Water | Panpanta + Prismana Glacy | Piopiota + Prismana Panpanta

Wind | Tubster + Chirpi | Eklue + Helgon

Earth | Grizbo, Minespine, Bailite | Waleetle, Bouldus, Mudflat Budclaw

Game8's picks come with per-unit reasoning and rotations; GameWith's builds look more role-templated but its teams are a day newer. Where they differ, both teams work. Build around what you already own, and keep the shared core (Turbo, Glacy, a battery, Rookey) maxed first.
