Wobbly Life: Complete Guide

A practical guide to Wobbly Life after the v1.1 Crossplay Update: how to earn money fast, what to buy first, jobs and missions, the Museum treasure hunt, Space, co-op and crossplay, and Arcade mode.

Researched September 2026 — current as of v1.1 (Crossplay Update, 2026-08-27). Live games change; check the linked sources if something differs.

Quick Start

  1. Grandma wants you to get a job. That is the whole setup: earn money, buy stuff, and eventually buy a house to make her proud.
  2. Jobs are your income. There are 20+ jobs (pizza delivery, firefighting, taxi driving, disco dancing and more). Try them all early; you will quickly find favourites that pay well for your playstyle.
  3. Missions unlock rewards. 100+ story missions and challenges give unique clothes, vehicles and unlocks rather than just cash.
  4. Everything is physics. Your Wobbly grabs, climbs, carries and falls over. Clumsy is intended; learning to grab and carry reliably makes jobs much faster.
  5. Buy a vehicle early. Getting around Wobbly Island on foot is slow. A cheap car pays for itself in job efficiency.
  6. Save up for a house. Houses range from a wooden cabin to a fancy mansion. It is the long-term goal.
  7. Play with friends. 1 to 4 players online or local split-screen. Since v1.1, PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Luna and Switch/Switch 2 players can all play together.
  8. Use invite codes to join friends on other platforms.
  9. Explore for secrets. The tropical island, the mountain and hidden caves all hide things.
  10. Space is a whole second open world with its own jobs, missions, secrets and spaceships.

Controls and Movement

Wobbly Life is a physics-based character game:

Check the in-game controls menu for exact bindings on your platform; the game supports keyboard and mouse and controllers.

Money: Jobs

Job type Examples Tips
Delivery Pizza delivery Learn the roads; a faster vehicle improves earnings
Emergency Firefighting Teamwork shines in co-op
Driving Taxi driver Drive smoothly; crashes waste time
Performance Disco dancer Follow the on-screen prompts; easy money once you get the hang of it
Manual work Farming, mining, construction site jobs (three were added in v0.7.7) Physics-heavy; carrying well is the whole skill
Space jobs Space diner, asteroid mining and more Unlock after reaching Space

Money is Wobbly Bucks. It buys outfits, vehicles, pets, props and eventually your house.

Missions and the Museum

Areas worth exploring

The world grew update by update during Early Access, so each of these was once a headline feature (per the official Steam announcements):

Area/feature Added in What to look for
Paradise Island v0.7.0 Golf and an observatory
Jungle and caves v0.7.5 Mystery missions and caves; the pet system also expanded here
Construction site v0.7.7 Three construction jobs
Up in the Clouds v0.9.1 New jobs and pets
Sewers v0.9.4 An underground location with its own secrets
Museum collections v0.9.5 "Curious Collectors" The museum treasure system and a mysterious new NPC
Space v1.0 (full release, 2025-09-18) A second open world, space training and spaceships

If you are hunting for everything, work through them in roughly this order; the older areas are the most forgiving places to learn climbing and carrying.
