Stick Fight: The Game: Complete Guide

A player's guide to Stick Fight: The Game: how the physics combat works, blocking and fist fighting, the weapons worth grabbing, map hazards, online and local setup, the level editor and Workshop (including the August 2026 security incident), and a full achievement plan.

Researched September 2026 — current as of the August 31, 2026 security patch that restored the Steam Workshop. Live games change; check the linked sources if something differs.

Workshop security note (August 2026): On August 23, 2026, Landfall temporarily unpublished the Stick Fight Workshop after a map containing malware was found (the uploader was banned; the map was up for a few hours). On August 31, 2026 a security patch restored the Workshop with safer level-creator handling. Update the game before playing, report suspicious Workshop items, and note that the beta branch with unreleased levels was temporarily removed for security reasons.

Quick Start

  1. There is no single-player mode. You need 2 to 4 players, locally or online. For achievements that need an opponent, connect a spare controller as a dummy.
  2. Last stick standing wins the round. Falling off the map, being shot, or being beaten down all count. Maps rotate each round.
  3. Weapons fall from the sky. Crates and weapons drop in during a round. Grab one fast, but do not run under a bad spot to get it.
  4. Fists are real weapons. Punching and kicking do solid damage, and a mid-air kick can kill.
  5. Block. Blocking stops melee and can reflect bullets back at the shooter. It is the most important skill in the game.
  6. Physics wins fights. Knocking someone off the edge is often faster than draining their health.
  7. Use a controller if you can. The game supports controllers and it makes movement and blocking easier; keyboard and mouse work too (check the controls screen for bindings).
  8. Throw empty weapons. When a gun runs dry, it becomes a projectile. Do not hold an empty weapon.
  9. Watch the map, not just the enemy. Ice melts, platforms move, lava and water kill, and some maps spawn hazards like snakes.
  10. Try Workshop maps. Over 100,000 community levels exist; subscribe only to well-rated maps from trusted creators after the August 2026 incident.

Weapons

The game has lots of weapons, and the exact spawn pool varies by map. Key ones to know:

Weapon How to use it
Pistol and other basic guns Reliable starters; aim for the head for faster kills
Sniper High damage, slow; hold angles and track leading movement
Bounce weapon Bullets ricochet off surfaces; aim at walls around cover
Light-sabre Devastating melee; picking one up earns an achievement
Blink dagger Teleport-style mobility weapon; three kills with it in one round earns an achievement
Snake-spawning weapon Spawns snakes that hunt a target; survive being targeted for "Stick Irvin"
Black hole weapon Creates a black hole that pulls everything in
Explosives and heavy guns Big knockback; great for clearing platforms

Achievement Plan

There are 28 Steam achievements. Many need an opponent; a second controller connected as a dummy player makes the solo-possible ones easier.

Group Achievements Tips
Kill streaks Killing Spree (4), Rampage (5), Dominating (6), Unstoppable (7), Genocide (8), Godlike (9), Wicked Stick (10) Easiest against a dummy player or friendly opponent
Multi-kills Double Kill, Triple Kill, Ace, Royal Ace Need 3 opponents for Triple Kill, Ace and Royal Ace
Skill Your kung fu is strong, Headshot, Riposte, Ricochet, Bounce Practice blocking and mid-air kicks
Weapons Bzuhzzzzzzzuhzzzzzuhzzzz (pick up a Light-sabre), White Death (77 sniper kills), мигающий кинжал ("blink dagger": win a round by killing 3 opponents with the blink dagger) Weapon spawns are random; farm with friends
Map events Walkover, Ice Age, 4d Stickmen, Stick Irvin, Snake Ice and black-hole events depend on the map
Progress Explorer (finish a round on every map), Conqueror (win on every level), A poultry meal (99 total kills) Play full map rotations
Completion Xiao Xiao Unlock all others

Suggested Achievement Order

  1. Play normally first. Headshot, Double Kill, Killing Spree, Snake, Walkover and the early kill-streak achievements tend to pop during ordinary matches.
  2. Run full map rotations with friends for Explorer ("finish a round on each map") and keep going for Conqueror ("win on every level"). Conqueror needs you to actually win on each map, so it is the long one; a cooperative friend helps.
  3. Set up the skill ones deliberately. For Riposte, block your opponent and then immediately finish them with fists. For Ricochet, the win has to come from a bullet you reflected with your block. For Bounce, the kill must come from the final bounce of a bounce-weapon bullet, so aim at walls, not at the target.
  4. Streaks up to 10 (Wicked Stick) are easiest with a friend who lets you farm, or against an idle player, since any death resets the streak.
  5. Four-player lobbies are needed for Triple Kill, Ace and Royal Ace. Royal Ace ("kill 3 other players in one round without taking damage") is the hardest of the group.
  6. Weapon and map luck: Light-sabre, blink dagger, snake, black hole and ice achievements depend on spawns and map events. Keep playing rotations and pounce when they appear.
  7. Grinds: A poultry meal (99 total kills) and White Death (77 sniper kills) finish themselves over time.
  8. Xiao Xiao unlocks once every other achievement is done.
