Party Animals: Complete Guide

How to win more brawls in Party Animals: core fighting mechanics, stamina and knockouts, every major mode (including Crisis, Nemo Kart, and Kung Fu Soccer), currencies, and the 3rd Anniversary event.

Researched September 2026 — current as of Patch 1.17.1.0 (September 24, 2026) and the "3rd Anniversary Party" event. Live games change; check the linked sources if something differs.

Quick Start

  1. Knocking players out of the arena wins rounds. Health matters less than position. A knocked-out animal carried to the edge and thrown off is eliminated.
  2. Grab is the most important action. Grabbing lets you carry, throw, and climb. It drains stamina, so don't hold it forever.
  3. Watch your stamina. Sprinting, grabbing, and climbing all cost stamina. When it's empty you drop whatever you're holding, including the ledge you're hanging from.
  4. Knocked out isn't eliminated. You wake up after a short time; the moment you do, move away from the edge.
  5. Weapons are strong but temporary. Pick them up, use them, and throw them when they run out or when you need your hands.
  6. Team modes reward focus. Two players grabbing one enemy beats two separate 1v1s.
  7. Custom Games and What If? rules are the best way to practice with friends.
  8. Log in during events. Anniversary and holiday events hand out Nemo Bucks, outfits, and pass rewards just for playing.

Controls and Actions

Party Animals supports keyboard and mouse and controllers (with haptic feedback options). Check Settings > Controls for your exact bindings; the core actions are:

Action What it does
Punch Basic attack; charge it for a stronger hit that knocks out faster
Grab Hold onto players, objects, and ledges; needed to carry and throw
Jump Dodge, climb, and set up aerial attacks
Dropkick Jump plus attack; a big knockback hit
Headbutt Close-range stun attack
Crouch / Lie down Lowers your profile; useful for dodging and some emotes
Sprint Faster movement at stamina cost
Throw Release a grabbed player or object with force

How knockouts work

Combat Fundamentals

The grab-and-throw loop

  1. Stun the enemy (charged punch, dropkick, or headbutt).
  2. Grab them while they're knocked out.
  3. Walk to the nearest edge or hazard.
  4. Throw.

If they wake up while you're carrying them, they'll start fighting back. Carry them the shortest possible distance.

Weapons

Weapons range from melee (bats, pans, and similar) to ranged (guns, projectiles) and explosives. Most have limited uses. Priorities:

Crisis Mode

Crisis is Party Animals' social-deduction mode: most players are Goodies trying to survive and find the killers, while hidden roles try to eliminate them.

Roles named in recent patch notes include:

Neutral roles also exist, so not every non-Goodie is a killer.

New map (1.17): Desert Crisis. Sandstorms sweep the town and a ritual circle in Deadwood Park adds a timed threat. Cooperate to clear the sands.

Crisis tips:

Nemo Kart

Version 1.16 (July 2026) added Kart Modification and Vehicle Research, letting you research vehicles and install parts. Three tracks were added: Cast-A-Way, Rock N Roar, and Sky Ruins, plus vehicles like the ATV, Rockcycle, and UFO.

Tips: research parts that improve acceleration first for twisty tracks; hug the inside line; save boosts for straights.

Maps to Know

Party Animals' brawl maps rotate in Quick Match. Names that come up constantly include Beat-Up Bridge, Ice Breaker, Final Destination, Ring of Garfat, and Luggage Chaos.

General map rules:

The Cabin social spaces change with the seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter). The Autumn Cabin returned in 1.17 with a meteor shower and Meteor Fish to catch; there's fishing, board games, and the Aquarium to hang out in.
