OUTRIDERS: Complete Guide

A player's guide to OUTRIDERS and the Worldslayer expansion: the four classes and how each heals, levelling through World Tiers, gear and mod crafting, the Expeditions and Trial of Tarya Gratar endgames, Apocalypse Tiers and Ascension, and build archetypes that work.

Researched September 2026 — current as of the final balance and bug-fix patches (July 28 and August 25, 2022) and the Complete Edition (February 2024). Live games change; check the linked sources if something differs.

Status: OUTRIDERS has had no content updates since the August 2022 patch. The Complete Edition (released February 8, 2024) bundles the base game, the Worldslayer expansion, the Hell's Rangers content pack and five exclusive emotes. The game needs an online connection even for solo play, so check it launches before relying on it long-term.

Quick Start

  1. Each class heals differently, and you must play to it. Standing behind cover waiting to regenerate doesn't work. Healing comes from killing, damaging or using skills.
  2. Be aggressive. The game rewards pushing into enemies, not sitting in cover. Cover is for reloading, not for camping.
  3. Increase your World Tier. Higher tiers mean tougher enemies and better loot. Keep it at the highest tier you can clear comfortably.
  4. Dismantle gear to learn mods. Breaking down Epic and Legendary items with mods teaches you those mods permanently for crafting.
  5. Don't sell everything. Dismantling gives crafting materials (Iron, Leather, Titanium, Anomaly Shards) that you'll need to upgrade favourite gear.
  6. Put skill points everywhere. You can reset the class tree anytime for free. Experiment.
  7. Do side quests and hunts. They give strong early rewards, Legendary chances and good XP.
  8. Co-op is up to three players, and drop-in play is supported.
  9. Choose Worldslayer if you own it; it adds the new campaign, Apocalypse gear, PAX trees, Ascension and the Trial of Tarya Gratar.

The Four Classes

Class Range and role How it heals
Devastator Close range tank Killing enemies at close range
Pyromancer Mid-range fire/crowd control Killing enemies marked (burned, ashed) by your skills
Technomancer Long range support/gadgets A percentage of weapon and skill damage dealt
Trickster Close range hit-and-run/time manipulation Killing enemies at close range heals you and extends your shield

Stats That Matter

Stat What it does
Firepower Weapon damage
Anomaly Power Skill damage
Armour Reduces physical damage taken
Resistance Reduces Anomaly damage
Cooldown Reduction Skills return faster
Skill Leech / Weapon Leech Heal from damage dealt
Status Power Stronger status effects (Bleed, Burn, Toxic, Freeze and so on)

Pick either a weapon build (Firepower, weapon damage mods) or a skill build (Anomaly Power, Cooldown Reduction). Mixing them usually does neither well.
