Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales: Complete Guide

This guide covers Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PC: Venom and Camouflage combat, which skills and gadgets to get first, how to clear every district and collectible for 100%, New Game+, and the PC settings that matter.

Researched September 2026 — current as of PC patch v4.630.0.0 (July 2026, DualSense Edge support and FSR "Redstone" frame generation). Live games change; check the linked sources if something differs.

Quick Start

  1. Venom is your damage button. Venom attacks run on the Venom meter, which fills as you fight well (hitting, dodging, combos). Spend it. The Overcharge achievement asks for 100 Venom kills.
  2. Camouflage turns fights back into stealth. Going invisible makes enemies lose track of you. You can use it mid-fight to reset, and in stealth to set up takedowns. Invisible Spider is 50 kills while camouflaged.
  3. Dodge first, punch second. The Spider-Sense indicator warns of incoming hits. Perfect dodges, and staying out of melee against gunners, matter more than raw combo speed.
  4. Gadgets change fights. The Remote Mine, Holo-Drone and Gravity Well each fix a different problem: turrets and snipers, crowds, and big groups.
  5. Do the FNSM app requests and district activities as you go. They pay out the Activity Tokens and Tech Parts you need for suits, mods and gadget upgrades.
  6. Stealth-clear enemy bases. The Never Saw It Coming achievement is for an undetected base, and stealth is often faster anyway.
  7. Buy suits early for their mods. Suits are mostly cosmetic, but their suit mods and visor mods give real bonuses.
  8. There's no missable content. After the credits you can keep playing in free roam and clean up everything.

Core Systems

Traversal

Web-swinging, web-zipping to points, wall runs, dives and point launches make up Miles's movement. Chain a point launch into a swing, then into a dive, to keep your speed up. There's an achievement for it (Launch, Swing and Dive). Fast travel through subway stations becomes available as you progress, and the PC patches added an option to skip the fast travel animation.

Combat

Tool What it does When to use it

Venom Punch / Venom Jump / Venom Dash / Venom Smash Venom-powered attacks that stun, launch or hit groups Heavy enemies and crowds
Mega Venom Blast Large bio-electric explosion around Miles Emergency button when surrounded
Camouflage Invisibility Resetting fights, escaping gunners, stealth
Remote Mine Webbed mine that detonates Snipers, turrets, stationary groups

Combo tips:

Stealth

Stealth works through perches, ceiling takedowns, wall takedowns and web-strikes. Tagging enemies in stealth shows who is isolated. Only take down enemies other guards can't see. Camouflage lets you take down a target right in front of their friends. Achievements track 100 stealth takedowns (Nowhere to Hide), 25 ceiling takedowns (From the Rafters) and 25 wall takedowns (Climbing the Walls).

If you want all the skills and suits, NG+ is the easy way to reach the XP and tokens you need.

FAQ

How long is Miles Morales? It's a compact story, much shorter than the 2018 game. Full completion takes a lot longer than the main path, but it's still far from a huge open world.

Do I need to play Spider-Man Remastered first? It helps, because Miles Morales follows it directly, but it isn't required. The game catches you up.

Is there New Game+? Yes. It unlocks after the credits, and there's an achievement for finishing it.

Can I miss collectibles? No. Everything is available in free roam after the ending.

Why does my DualSense not have haptics on PC? Haptics and speaker features need a wired USB connection. Adaptive triggers also work through Steam Input.

What does the July 2026 PC patch change? Version 4.630.0.0 improved DualSense Edge support, updated FSR to 3.1.4 with ML frame generation compatibility, and fixed DLSS Frame Generation sometimes disappearing from the menu.

How do I roll back a bad patch? In Steam, open Properties > Betas and choose Previous_Version.
