# LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga: 100% Guide & Walkthrough

A complete companion for LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga on PC: the chapter list, how Story and Free Play work, collectibles for 100%, the best Red Brick extras, bounty hunter missions, and fixes for modern Windows.

*Researched September 2026 — current as of the 2009 PC release (no further patches). Classic game; check the linked sources if something differs.*

## Quick Start

1. **Story first, Free Play second.** In Story mode you're locked to the film's characters. Many collectibles need abilities from other characters, so you'll replay every chapter in Free Play to grab them.
2. **Each chapter has three Gold Bricks** in the main 36 levels: one for finishing the story, one for reaching True Jedi (filling the stud meter), and one for finding all 10 minikit canisters.
3. **Studs are money.** Break everything. You'll spend studs on characters, extras and Gold Bricks in the Cantina.
4. **Buy the stud multiplier Red Bricks early.** The score multipliers make the rest of the game far faster.
5. **Your hub is the Mos Eisley Cantina.** Doors lead to each episode, the bonus area and the shop counter.
6. **Drop-in, drop-out co-op.** A second player can join at any time locally.
7. **Death is cheap.** You only lose some studs when you fall apart. It matters only when you're chasing True Jedi.
8. **Characters have ability groups.** Jedi use the Force and lightsabers, Sith can use dark Force objects, astromechs open droid panels, protocol droids open their own doors, bounty hunters use thermal detonators and bounty hunter panels, small characters use hatches, and Stormtroopers open Imperial panels.

## Chapter List

The game covers all six films with six chapters each (36 story levels).

| Episode | Chapters |
|---|---|
| I: The Phantom Menace | Negotiations, Invasion of Naboo, Escape from Naboo, Mos Espa Podrace, Retake Theed Palace, Darth Maul |
| II: Attack of the Clones | Bounty Hunter Pursuit, Discovery on Kamino, Droid Factory, Jedi Battle, Gunship Cavalry, Count Dooku |
| III: Revenge of the Sith | Battle over Coruscant, Chancellor in Peril, General Grievous, Defense of Kashyyyk, Ruin of the Jedi, Darth Vader |
| IV: A New Hope | Secret Plans, Through the Jundland Wastes, Mos Eisley Spaceport, Rescue the Princess, Death Star Escape, Rebel Attack |
| V: The Empire Strikes Back | Hoth Battle, Escape from Echo Base, Falcon Flight, Dagobah, Cloud City Trap, Betrayal over Bespin |
| VI: Return of the Jedi | Jabba's Palace, The Great Pit of Carkoon, Speeder Showdown, The Battle of Endor, Jedi Destiny, Into the Death Star |

**Restored content:** Complete Saga brought back two levels that were cut from the original LEGO Star Wars: Anakin's Flight and Bounty Hunter Pursuit. Redesigned versions of the Mos Espa Podrace and Gunship Cavalry use the open vehicle gameplay from LEGO Star Wars II.

## Game Modes and Extras

| Mode | What it is |
|---|---|
| Story | Play each chapter with the film's characters |
| Free Play | Replay with any unlocked character; the game swaps in characters with the right abilities automatically |
| Challenge | Timed collection challenges added in this edition: find a set of hidden blue minikits in a level against the clock |
| Bounty Hunter missions | 20 missions for Jabba the Hutt, capturing key figures from both the Old Republic (prequel) and Rebellion (original trilogy) eras; 10 prequel-era missions are new to this edition |
| Bonus levels | 6 bonus levels (see below) |
| Arcade | A 2-player Battle Arena mode, new to this edition |
| Character Customizer | Mix parts from all six films to make custom characters (the store page's examples are "Han Windu" and "Lando Amidala") |

### The six bonus levels

| Bonus level | What it is |
|---|---|
| Anakin's Flight | A story level cut from the original LEGO Star Wars and restored here |
| A New Hope | A bonus story level |
| LEGO City | A LEGO City-themed stud-collecting level |
| New Town | A second LEGO City-themed level |
| Mos Espa Podrace (Original) | The original version of the Podrace, before the redesign |
| Gunship Cavalry (Original) | The original version of Gunship Cavalry, before the redesign |

The two LEGO City levels are pure stud-hunting: with your multipliers on they're some of the best places to farm studs for the expensive Cantina purchases.

### Bounty Hunter missions: how to approach them

- **Pick the right hunter.** Bounty hunters carry thermal detonators for silver objects and can use bounty hunter panels; bring one that also fits the mission's route (for example a jetpack-capable hunter for gaps).
- **Capture, don't just kill.** The target has to be captured for Jabba; clear the guards around them first.
- **Use your extras.** Invincibility and the detectors work here too, which takes the stress out of the larger layouts.
- **Save them for late.** They're easier once you've bought multipliers and a wide character roster.

## Collectibles for 100%

| Collectible | Count | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Bricks | 160 total | 3 per main level (Story, True Jedi, minikits), 20 from Bounty Hunter missions, bonus levels, and purchasable ones in the Cantina |
| Minikit canisters | 10 per level | Hidden in each chapter; collecting all builds a vehicle in the Cantina courtyard |
| Red Power Bricks | 1 per level (in levels that have one) | Unlock extras to buy in the Cantina |
| Characters | 120+ | Bought with studs in the Cantina; some are unlocked through the story |

**How to 100% efficiently:**

1. Play through all six episodes in Story mode.
2. Buy stud multipliers as soon as you find their Red Bricks.
3. Buy characters that cover every ability group: a Jedi, a Sith, an astromech, a protocol droid, a bounty hunter, a Stormtrooper-type, and a small character (for example Yoda or an Ewok for hatches).
4. Go back through every chapter in Free Play for minikits, Red Bricks and True Jedi.
5. Finish the Bounty Hunter missions, bonus levels and challenges.
6. Buy any remaining Gold Bricks in the Cantina.

## Red Brick Extras

Every Red Brick unlocks an extra that you then buy with studs at the Cantina counter and toggle from the pause menu. The most valuable ones:

| Extra | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Score x2, x4, x6, x8, x10 | Multiply stud pickups; they stack, making True Jedi trivial and stud grinding fast |
| Minikit Detector | Points the way to minikits in a level |
| Power Brick Detector | Points the way to the Red Brick |
| Stud Magnet | Pulls studs toward you |
| Invincibility | No more deaths while exploring |
| Super Gonk | A silly extra; buy it for completion |

Buy the multipliers first. With several stacked, you'll earn more studs than you can spend.

## Ability Reference

| Ability group | Example characters | What it opens |
|---|---|---|
| Jedi | Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Luke Skywalker | Force-move bright LEGO objects, lightsaber combat, double jump |
| Sith | Darth Maul, Darth Vader, the Emperor | Black (dark side) Force objects, Force lightning for some |
| Astromech | R2-D2, R4-P17 | Astromech panels, hover short gaps |
| Protocol droid | C-3PO | Protocol droid panels |
| Bounty hunter | Boba Fett, Greedo, Zam Wesell | Bounty hunter panels, thermal detonators on silver objects |
| Imperial | Stormtroopers, Imperial officers | Imperial panels |
| Small | Yoda, Ewoks, Jawas | Hatches and small passages |
| Grappling | Blaster characters such as Han Solo or Princess Leia | Grapple points |

## Vehicle Levels

- **Mos Espa Podrace:** redesigned. Take corners wide and avoid walls; boosting while damaged is risky.
- **Battle over Coruscant, Rebel Attack, Hoth Battle, Falcon Flight, Speeder Showdown:** vehicle chapters. Vehicles have different abilities in Free Play, so some minikits need specific ships.
- **Tow cables on Hoth:** wrap the tow cable around AT-AT walkers by circling them.
- **Trench run (Rebel Attack):** stay low and shoot the targets as you go; minikits are along the way.

## Getting True Jedi

- **Destroy everything.** Studs hide in furniture, plants and scenery.
- **Don't die.** Falling apart drops studs.
- **Build every build.** Many builds reward studs.
- **Use multipliers.** After buying Score x2 and higher, True Jedi becomes almost automatic.
- **Blue and purple studs** are worth much more than silver and gold ones.

## PC Notes and Fixes

- **Controllers:** modern Xbox-style controllers generally work. If your controller doesn't respond, try enabling Steam Input for the game.
- **Widescreen and resolution:** set these in the game's options; community widescreen fixes exist if your aspect ratio isn't listed.
- **Crashes on modern Windows:** try compatibility mode, run as administrator, and cap your frame rate if you see physics oddities at very high frame rates.
- **Local co-op only.** There's no online multiplayer; use Steam Remote Play Together if you want to play with a friend remotely.

## Common Mistakes to Avoid

- **Trying to collect everything in Story mode.** Many items need characters you don't have yet.
- **Buying characters before multipliers.** Studs flow much faster after multipliers.
- **Ignoring the Red Brick in each level.** Those extras are the best upgrades in the game.
- **Skipping bonus content.** Bounty Hunter missions and bonus levels are needed for 100%.
- **Playing co-op without awareness of the shared camera.** Stay together on narrow ledges.

## Advanced Tips

- **Use Free Play character swapping.** Free Play gives you a rotating set of characters covering different abilities; cycle to the one you need instead of restarting the level.
- **Stack all score multipliers.** Stacked x2 through x10 massively boosts stud income.
- **Grind studs in a stud-rich level** once multipliers are active, then buy everything in the Cantina.
- **Use the Character Customizer** to build a character with several useful abilities.
- **Toggle Invincibility** for relaxed minikit hunting.

## FAQ

**How many Gold Bricks are there?**
160 on PC.

**How many levels are there?**
36 story levels (6 per episode), plus 20 Bounty Hunter missions and 6 bonus levels (Anakin's Flight, A New Hope, LEGO City, New Town, and the original Mos Espa Podrace and Gunship Cavalry).

**How many characters are there?**
Over 120; Wikipedia puts the total at 128 after the edition's additions (new faces include Watto, Zam Wesell and Boss Nass).

**Is it the same as the console versions?**
Largely. PC has 160 Gold Bricks like most versions; the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions added online co-op, which PC doesn't have.

**Is there online co-op?**
No. It's 2-player local drop-in co-op. Remote Play Together can simulate online play.

**Why can't I get certain minikits?**
You probably need a character ability you didn't have in Story mode. Come back in Free Play.

**What are Red Bricks for?**
They unlock extras (like score multipliers and detectors) that you buy in the Cantina.

**How do I get True Jedi faster?**
Buy and enable the score multiplier extras.
