Quick Start

1. Know which preset you're on. FC 26 splits gameplay into Competitive (Ultimate Team, Clubs: faster, sharper AI) and Authentic (Career: more realistic, data-driven football). Offline modes let you choose.
2. Attributes beat PlayStyles more than at launch. Title Update 1.5.0 (March 2026) toned down several PlayStyles and made ground passing more accurate for high-passing players. Build around real stats.
3. Manual defending wins. Jockey, hold shape, and switch to the right player. Don't spam tackles.

• Stacking PlayStyles over stats. Post-1.5.0, a high-Passing midfielder without Tiki Taka often passes better than a weaker one with it.
• Hoarding FUT coins this late. They won't carry over.
• Ignoring fitness in Career. Tired players get injured and play worse.
• Buying points now. FC 27 is already out.

• Use custom tactics. Set width, depth and build-up style to your team, then save presets for protecting a lead or chasing a game.
