# Aimlabs: Complete Training Guide

How to set up Aimlabs properly, which tasks train which skill, how to build a routine that carries over to your main game, and what the Aimlabs 2.0 overhaul changed.

*Researched September 2026 — current as of the Aimlabs 2.0 client (live since September 3, 2026) and the Moon Festival 2026 event. Live games change; check the linked sources if something differs.*

## Quick Start

1. **Aimlabs is free on Steam** (also on Xbox and PS5). Since August 2026 you can sign in with your Steam account, so there's no separate account to make before you train.
2. **Set your game profile and sensitivity first.** Pick the game you actually play in settings so field of view, sensitivity scale, and crosshair match. A trainer with the wrong sensitivity trains the wrong muscle memory.
3. **Train little and often.** 15–30 focused minutes a day beats a 3-hour session once a week. Stop when you're tired or tilted. Grinding scores with bad form builds bad habits.
4. **Cover three skill families:** flicking (snapping to a target), tracking (staying on a moving target), and switching/target acquisition (moving between targets quickly and cleanly).
5. **Use benchmarks and guided plans, not random tasks.** Aimlabs 2.0 puts Daily Missions and skill-matched plans on the Home screen. Use them until you know what your weak spots are.
6. **Watch accuracy as closely as score.** A Gridshot score you only get by spraying at 70% accuracy doesn't carry over to real matches.
7. **Warm up before ranked, train at other times.** A 5–10 minute warm-up and a real training block are different sessions with different goals.
8. **Play your actual game.** Aim training helps mechanics. It does nothing for crosshair placement, positioning, or game sense. Aimlabs time should add to match time, not replace it.

## What Changed in Aimlabs 2.0 (September 2026)

Aimlabs 2.0 went live on **September 3, 2026**, with a redesigned UI and performance improvements. The parts that matter for training:

| Feature | What it does | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| **Home: Daily Missions** | Guided daily training matched to your skill level; completing missions earns Aim Credits | Do it as your default session if you don't have a custom routine |
| **Home: Your Climb** | Shows the exact score you need to move up the leaderboard on the task you last played | Use as a short-term goal, but not every session |
| **Play: Training Grid** | One browser for Tasks, Playlists, Guides, Benchmarks, Events, and Multiplayer modes | Filter by skill type to find tasks for your weak area |
| **Results: Overview** | Redesigned post-run dashboard | Check accuracy, reaction/kill time, and trends after each run, not only the score |

If you're coming back from before 2.0, your tasks and playlists are still there. They've been moved into the Training Grid.

## Setup: Sensitivity, FOV, and Hardware

### Match your game

- **Game profiles** set the sensitivity scale and FOV to match your game, so the same mouse movement turns you the same distance. Recent PC patches added profiles for **Deadlock, Roblox Rivals, and Delta Force** (patch 1.39, April 2026), next to long-standing ones for games like VALORANT, CS2, Apex Legends, Overwatch 2, and Fortnite.
- Put in the exact in-game sensitivity you use. If you change sensitivity, change it in both places.
- Match your crosshair roughly too (size, colour, gap). Aiming with a very different reticle is a small but real handicap.

### Choosing a sensitivity

Think in **cm/360**, the distance your mouse travels for one full turn. It's the same in every game.

| Game style | Typical range | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Tactical FPS (VALORANT, CS2) | Lower sens / larger cm/360 | Precise headshot flicks, little 180-degree turning |
| Hero/arena shooters (Overwatch 2, Marvel Rivals, Apex) | Medium | Lots of tracking and vertical movement |
| Build/movement shooters (Fortnite, Roblox Rivals) | Medium-higher | Fast camera turns while building/moving |

These are common patterns, not rules. Pick something comfortable and **keep it for weeks**. Changing sensitivity all the time is the most common reason people stop improving. Aimlabs+ has **Sensitivity Finder 2.0** if you want a guided test. The free route is simple: try a few values on the same tasks and keep the one where both accuracy and speed hold up.

### Hardware and display

- Turn off Windows "Enhance pointer precision" (mouse acceleration).
- Cap or uncap FPS so it runs well above your monitor's refresh rate, and use your monitor's full refresh rate in both Aimlabs and your game.
- Use a mousepad big enough for a full 180-degree swipe at your sensitivity.

## Task Families and What They Train

Task names below are standard Aimlabs tasks. Most have Speed/Precision or difficulty variants in the Training Grid.

### Flicking (target acquisition)

| Task | Trains | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| **Gridshot** | Speed, warm-up, rhythm | Three targets on a grid. The classic warm-up. Keep accuracy high. Don't just spam |
| **Sixshot** | Precision flicks | Smaller targets than Gridshot. The "next step up" |
| **Spidershot** | Flicks from centre outwards | Targets spawn in random spots and you re-centre, which is close to real peeks |
| **Microshot** | Micro-adjustments | Tiny targets near the crosshair. Great for headshot correction |
| **Reflexshot** | Reaction speed | Targets appear and vanish. Rewards fast, controlled clicks |
| **Motionshot** | Flicking to moving targets | Bridges flicking and tracking |
| **Linetrace** | Controlled horizontal aim | Good for beginners who over-flick |

### Tracking

| Task | Trains | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| **Strafetrack** | Following strafing targets | Core skill for Apex, OW2, Marvel Rivals, Fortnite |
| **Motiontrack** | Smooth tracking with direction changes | Focus on reacting to reversals, not predicting them |
| **Spheretrack** | Tracking around the full screen | Trains vertical and diagonal tracking |
| **Freetrack** | Unpredictable movement | Advanced. Use once basic tracking is solid |

### Event and seasonal tasks

- **Superflick, Supertrack, Superswitch** came with the Logitech G PLAYDAYS x Aimlabs Summer '26 event (June 2026).
- **Logitech G PLAYDAYS x Aimlabs - Fall '26** (announced September 24, 2026) focuses on movement aim (bunny hopping, lightning-gun duels, zombie scenarios) with a $100K+ prize pool, up from $15K for Summer '26. Check the Events section of the Training Grid for the current tasks and dates.
- **Moon Festival 2026** is a custom leaderboard task running **September 25 to October 11, 2026**.

Event tasks are good variety, but they don't replace your core routine.

## Building a Routine

### The structure

1. **Warm-up (5 min):** Gridshot or a similar low-stress task. Get your hand moving.
2. **Main block (15–25 min):** Two or three tasks aimed at your weakest skill family.
3. **Maintenance (5 min):** One task from each of your other families so they don't slip.
4. **Review (2 min):** Check the Results Overview. Is accuracy steady? Is kill time dropping?

### Sample routines by level

These come from a widely used community Steam guide, lightly condensed. Adjust the time per task to fit your session.

| Level | Routine |
|---|---|
| **Beginner** | Linetrace → Spidershot → Microshot (Precision) → Motiontrack → Spidershot (Speed/Precision variants) |
| **Intermediate** | Microflex → Reflexshot → Strafetrack → Microshot (Speed) → Reflexshot (Precision) |
| **Advanced** | Gridshot → Timingshot → Spheretrack → Motionshot (Speed and Precision) |
| **Master** | Spidershot 180 → Sixshot → Freetrack |

A simpler all-round order some players like: **Strafetrack → Motionshot → Microshot → Spidershot → Gridshot → Sixshot**. Tracking first loosens your arm, then flicking gets faster and smaller.

### Game-specific focus

| Your game | Prioritise | Also do |
|---|---|---|
| VALORANT / CS2 | Microshot, Spidershot, Reflexshot, Sixshot | Light tracking for spray transfers |
| Apex / OW2 / Marvel Rivals | Strafetrack, Motiontrack, Spheretrack | Motionshot for flick-to-track |
| Fortnite / Roblox Rivals | Tracking + fast switching | Reflexshot for close fights |
| Deadlock | Tracking plus projectile leading | Vertical tracking |

Aimlabs also has game-specific playlists. Console versions got **Roblox Rivals Aim Basics** and **Apex Legends Aim Basics** routines plus **Sniper Projectile Training** in June 2026, and PC has had many of these for a while. Search the Training Grid for your game's name.

## Free vs Aimlabs+

Aimlabs is fully playable for free: tasks, playlists, benchmarks, events, multiplayer, and leaderboards. **Aimlabs+** is the paid tier.

| Plan | Price (as listed Sept 2026) |
|---|---|
| 1 month | $10/month |
| 3 months | $9/month |
| 6 months | $7/month |

**What Aimlabs+ adds:** Sensitivity Finder 2.0, personalised training programs with adaptive exercises, an AI aim coach that points out weaknesses, a VALORANT Training Center with 1:1 map practice, Academy video courses, and detailed analytics (over/underflicks, smoothness, shot timing, flick direction, path efficiency, and more). It also includes **Shot Vision** (added in patch 1.39). Shot Vision shows where to lead projectile shots against moving targets, with five visual styles. Scores set with Shot Vision on **do not count for leaderboards**.

**Is it worth it?** If you already know your weak skill and have a routine, the free version is enough. The analytics are most useful when you've hit a plateau and can't tell why. Prices change, so check the current offer in the client first.

## Common Mistakes to Avoid

- **Chasing Gridshot high scores.** Gridshot rewards rhythm and speed. Past a point, a higher score says little about in-game aim.
- **Changing sensitivity every week.** Pick one and give it at least a few weeks.
- **Training only your strength.** Flick-heavy players who skip tracking (and the reverse) plateau quickly.
- **Tense grip, arm locked.** Relax your hand. Use your arm for big movements and your wrist/fingers for fine ones.
- **Training when tired or tilted.** Bad-form reps are still reps. You're just practising the mistakes.
- **Ignoring accuracy.** For most tasks, set yourself a minimum accuracy and don't trade it away for speed.
- **Using a mismatched profile.** Wrong FOV or sensitivity scale means your trained distances don't match your game.
- **Using Aimlabs instead of matches.** Deathmatch and real games teach crosshair placement and timing, which a trainer can't.

## Advanced Tips

- **Track trends, not single runs.** Use the Results Overview to compare your recent average with last week's. Run-to-run noise is huge.
- **Train slow, then fast.** For precision tasks, do a round on purpose at about 80% speed with near-perfect accuracy, then speed up. This builds clean motion paths.
- **Rotate tasks every couple of weeks.** You can get very good at one task's pattern without improving the general skill. Rotate similar tasks (e.g. Spidershot, Motionshot, Reflexshot) so you train the skill, not the task.
- **Use Your Climb as a stretch goal**, not something to grind. One or two attempts to beat the next leaderboard score is motivating. Twenty attempts is tilting.
- **Community tasks and Creator Studio:** Players build custom tasks, and bots now support double jumps. They're useful for game-specific movement (e.g. jump-peeks) that official tasks don't cover.
- **Warm up for 5–10 minutes before ranked.** Enough to get your hand moving. Don't do a full session right before you queue.
- **Record your hand/mouse occasionally.** Over-gripping, lifting too much, and wrist-only tracking are easy to see on video.

## FAQ

**Is Aimlabs free?**
Yes. The core game is free on Steam, Xbox, and PS5. Aimlabs+ is an optional subscription for extra analytics, the AI coach, guided programs, and Sensitivity Finder 2.0.

**Does Aimlabs actually improve aim in real games?**
It improves raw mechanics (flick accuracy, tracking smoothness, reaction), especially if your profile matches your game. It won't fix positioning or crosshair placement, which decide more fights in tactical shooters.

**How long should I train each day?**
15–30 focused minutes is enough for steady gains for most people. Consistency matters more than volume.

**What's the best task for VALORANT?**
There isn't one. Combine Microshot, Spidershot, Sixshot, and Reflexshot for headshot flicks. Aimlabs+ also has a VALORANT Training Center with 1:1 maps.

**Why do my scores go down some days?**
Sleep, tension, warm-up, and grip all affect scores. Judge your progress over weeks, not days.

**Where did my playlists go after the 2.0 update?**
Everything moved into the Training Grid on the Play screen, which has Tasks, Playlists, Guides, Benchmarks, Events, and Multiplayer all in one place.

**Can I log in with Steam?**
Yes. Steam login has been supported since August 2026.
